Pointe Perfection was founded by mother-daughter duo Cynthia and Maxime in 2013. Maxime took dance classes in Swindon for 23 years, bringing her and her mother vast experience in the dance world. The pair also have an extensive background in retail and administration and have been highly trained in customer service.
They attended a pointe shoe fitting course with Ballet Pro (formerly GrishkoUK) before opening the shop and received further guidance from brands Capezio and Freed of London. Most of their knowledge, however, has been gained from experiencing and troubleshooting in-person fittings over the past 10-plus years.
Since opening as a ‘Pointe Shoe Specialist’ back in 2013, the shop has naturally expanded into other genres, now stocking tap shoes, jazz shoes, leotards, and much more. Solidifying their place in the Swindon dance community further, they now proudly provide uniforms for multiple leading schools in Swindon.
Over recent years, Cynthia has taken more of a back seat with the shop, whilst Maxime remains very much the face of the brand. She is known for her friendly and personal approach, taking care to get to know each customer so she can fit their needs precisely, which is reflected in the loyal customer base Pointe Perfection has built up.
